Generating a License Key
Your upgrade or trial package should come with a temporary license. Orbital STS generates a unique key that identifies the IIS instance and web site that you installed it.
A trial or upgrade package usually comes with a temporary/trial license key for a set number of days. After the license expires, the web application will stop working.
Licenses are specific to the server and the IIS instance. Re-deploying the application into a new IIS site or new server will cause the license to become invalid.
Open the STS Application and click on "About"
You should see a "New License Key Request" and a textbox with encrypted data. This data includes only a GUID and IIS instance ID. This information would not typically be deemed confidential as it is not an IP address, server name, or MAC address
Copy that text in the textbox and e-mail it to support@radiusworks.com requesting the purchased license key.
The support contact will send you a license.xml file.
Stop the IIS site hosting STS.
Copy the license.xml file into the /license. You may overwrite the existing file, or rename it.
Start the IIS site hosting STS.
Open the STS Application and click on "About"
Verify that you now have a "Perpetual" or "Subscription" license
