Welcome to the Orbital Lite Security Token Service Wiki.
The Orbital Lite Security Token Service (STS) is a high-performance SAML token generator for legacy applications. Its primary focus is to provide identity federation capabilities with various healthcare solutions and as such it is focused to support clinical workflows and ensure that both user and patient context are relayed to integrated Service Providers.
The primary objective of Orbital Lite STS is to leverage current processes and data repositories in order to minimize implementation efforts to integrate with external Service Providers. This is usually accomplished by using data elements from (in order of preference):

Global attributes configured in Orbital Lite STS
Windows authentication credentials
Active Directory or LDAP
Databases
Active Directory Federations Services (in development)
